Scroll Drain (the “App”) is an iOS application provided by NaRuLABO (the “Developer”) that helps you see how much time you spend on social media.
The App does not transmit any of your information off your device. Everything the App works with is stored only on your device. The Developer never receives your information.
The App stores the following information on your device.
The amount of time you spend in the apps you selected for tracking (both cumulative and for the current day), obtained through Apple’s Screen Time APIs (Family Controls / Device Activity).
Your selection is stored only as opaque identifiers (tokens) issued by Apple. Because of how this API is designed, the Developer cannot determine which apps you selected.
Your current age and your target age. These are used solely to calculate the “time lost before your target lifespan” figure shown in the App.
Your first launch date, whether initial setup is complete, internal bookkeeping used to detect when the calendar day changes, whether the in-app purchase has been made, and the date the purchase offer was last shown.
This information is used solely to display your own usage back to you, within the App and its Home Screen widget. It is not used for any other purpose.
All information is stored in an App Group container (group.com.naru.snsstolentime) on your device. It is never sent to or stored on any external server or cloud service.
The Developer operates no server for this App.
Network communication occurs only when the App communicates with Apple’s App Store to process an in-app purchase or to verify its purchase status. That communication is performed by Apple’s StoreKit, and none of the information listed in Section 1 is transmitted by it.
The Developer does not share, sell, or rent your information to third parties. As described above, the Developer never receives your information in the first place.
The App uses no third-party services such as advertising networks, analytics tools, or crash reporting tools. The App does not track you.
The App offers a one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchase that unlocks additional Home Screen widget types and sizes. There is no subscription or recurring charge.
Payment and verification of the purchase are handled entirely by Apple’s App Store. The Developer cannot receive or access any payment information, including your name, email address, or card number.
The only thing the App stores on your device is whether the purchase has been made. The entitlement itself is held by Apple and tied to your Apple ID, so it can be recovered with “Restore Purchases” in the App after reinstalling or switching devices.

The App may show local notifications when your usage reaches certain durations. Local notifications are generated and displayed entirely on your device and involve no external communication. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.
The App requests access to Apple’s Family Controls in order to measure usage time. You can revoke this authorization at any time in your device Settings. If you revoke it, automatic usage tracking stops.
Deleting the App from your device removes all stored information from your device.
Because no information is ever stored on the Developer’s side, there is no deletion request process to follow.
The App is intended for people tracking their own social media usage and is not directed to children under 13. As described above, the App does not collect information from any user.
If this policy changes, a revised version will be published on this page. Significant changes will also be communicated through the App’s release notes.
